I stumbled into this group as I was reading the APG e-mail. I am 64 years old and while I have quilting for some years, I'm just about and advanced beginner or a "really try hard" intermediate. Most of my quilting friends are on line and the one that has taught me so much over the years if what I would consider as "The Very Best Friend" that I have NEVER met. She can make sense of anything and then e-mail it back to me so that I can actually understand what I had been trying to understand. I have a beautiful daughter, age 43, and a very recent cancer survivor.. okay.. 4 months, but that's okay I'll take her anyway I can her. She has two daughters, my little hearts, and a devoted and fantastic hubby. I have a Leap Year Baby boy who will be 40 this year. He is now 4/3's through his second tour in Iraq. And he also has a shared family. As for me, I have been single since 1989, and for the passed 5 years I have the most super guy in my life. I have been bless. Since I do have difficulties since brain surgery for some twisted knot in my brain, oh joy, I do have things that will never really work right so socializing with more then two people is something I can't do. But I can enjoy my friends on line. So that's me. the chubby, short grand mom from Glen Burnie, MD
