Hello, my name is [Alice------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I'm a mother of four, grandmother of eight and great-grandma of four. I am also a retired RN. I live in Mason, MI with my adult son and a loving, cute little 3 year old Cocker Spaniel named Abigail Rose. She is also a source of great joy for me. Approximately 18 months ago I walked into a sewing machine store 'just to look'. I hadn't sewn anything on a sewing machine since the early 1960's and I really had no burning desire to sew. (lol) Needless to say, I left the store with a Jenome. The machine stayed in the case for several months. One day I decided I was going to learn to quilt. Don't ask me why...I don't have a clue as to why I made that decision. It just sorta came to me. I don't know why but I can say I'm delighted I decided to do quilts. I rounded up two of my cousins and we all ended up taking quilting lessons. I've been going strong ever since. I've completed one twin size, one queen size and two crib quilts in the last nine months or so. I have developed quite a stash of material for a 'someday quilt'. I absolutely LOVE TO QUILT!!! Even so, when I look ahead at the huge amount of learning ahead I wonder if I'll have enough 'earth-time' to complete my quilting education. I'm hoping Jesus is making a nice sewing room in my heavenly home :-) , :-)... Ya think??? MORE ABOUT ME... I joined this wiki because:it sounds like it would be fun and interesting. I look forward to meeting other quilters. The best word to describe me is: Joyful. Interests: JESUS, church, family (including Abby),quilting, reading, shopping, etc. I also am a part-time housemother for a ministry called Hanna's House. This is a home & haven for unwed mothers. Favorite movies: Ghost, Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood, etc. Favorite TV shows: Joyce Meyers, Perry Stone,also crime stories like Forensic Files, etc. My hero(es): JESUS...hands down!! My superpower is:Jesus...of course! If I could live anywhere, it would be:Heaven when I leave earth. In the meantime I would be interested in some of the southern states, ie., the Carolinas, Virginia, Kentucky. My dream job(s): Leisure supervisor. What else you should know about me: I like to joke & kid around.
