I have on old rocking chair I would like to make a quilted chair pad, seat & back for it.
Anyone know where I can get a pattern? The old one is long gone so I can't copy it.

Take a piece of newspaper or other material and use painters tape to hold it in place on the seat. Using a permanent marking pen, outline the seat. Repeat for back. Cut out on the line and use for your pattern, cutting 2 each for the the seat and back. Bias binding can be cut to finish the edges. Also cut strips for making ties. Fill with fiberfill or foam.

My grand aunt had old wooden rockers. Her cushions usually had skirts about 6 inches long sometimes longer depending on whether we kids were tempted to put our heels on the rungs. It wasn't polite to do that. Also hers were slip covered on the top of the back portion of the chair with slits where the knobs at the top poked through.
The paper pattern technique works well.
