Hi sister (&brother) quilters, I am fairly new to this exciting craft and want very badly to learn (and do) all I can. I find that reading the quilting patterns is difficult for me. I understand them to a point and then confusion sets in, followed quickly by anxiety and the project then goes on "hold". Do any of you, or have you, experienced this?? How did you overcome it?? Also, can anyone tell me how to sew a double border around a large (14"x14") picture square. The quilt is for a double bed. I planned for 4 sq. across by 5 sq. down. No sashing, but the double border around each "picture square". Then a 2" inner border followed by a 5" outer border and the binding. One of my problems is that I absolutely LOVE THE BEAUTIFUL FABRICS!!! I don't want to make a major error and destroy/waste the fabric. I know I'm my own worst enemy!! Can anyone help me with any of these issues?? I really appreciate your help so thank you in advance! :-) :-)
Do you find this valuable?
