Fall fabrics are also a weakness of sisters Carolyn and Dianne. With more than 3,000 bolts, there's something for everyone. The shop participates in seasonal shop hops with several of the area shops. Within an hour's drive there are 11 quilt shops. Enjoy the scenery as you drive through the "Little Switzerland" of Iowa out in the country on County Road X16. The shop is nestled in the Yellow River valley. To reach the shop from the north on Iowa Highway 76, turn south on CR-X16/Forest Mills Road about 2 miles southeast of Waukon. After 4 miles you'll cross the Yellow River. The shop is the next house. Look for the big blue Farmers Daughter quilt block. Coming from the south on U.S. 18, turn north on CR-X16/Dolphin Road (near Luana). At the stop sighn turn left and take the next right (CR-X16/Diplomat Road). The shop is about 8 miles away, shortly after the country church. |
