A Quilting Legacy! The Maple Leaf Quilt Show is now in its 38th year . It is the oldest quilt show in the state of Kansas and the only one of it’s kind. The quilt show is governed by an all volunteer committee that is organized as the Maple Leaf Quilt Show Foundation and is funded entirely by free will donations at the door. We are actively seeking members to serve on the Foundation Committee.


Our Mission is to preserve the historical legacy of the Maple Leaf Quilt Show by continuing the annual presentation of quilts in order to encourage an appreciation for the art form of quilting and to inspire new generations of quilters.

Our Vision is to:
Create an environment where traditional and innovative quilt artists will choose to present their works
Provide the people of our community the opportunity to view and gain an appreciation for the art form of quilting, experience emotional engagements with quilts and learn about the traditions and history of quilting
Demonstrate traditional and/or contemporary quilting techniques
Introduce quilters to inspirational ideas through quilt lectures
Host workshops where quilters can learn new skills and techniques

The hours of the 2009 quilt show are Saturday, October 17 from 9 am - 5 pm and Sunday October 18, 10 am - 5 pm.

We welcome quilts of all techniques, sizes and ages. There is no entry fee. The only requirement is that your quilt has a hanging sleeve.

Attendees will have an opportunity to vote on their favorite quilt in three categories, Favorite Theme Quilt, Favorite Wall Hanging and Favorite Bed Sized Quilt. There will be a cash prize of $50 for each of the Theme and Wall Hanging categories and $100 for the Bed Quilt category.
