We carry full lines of Robert Kaufmann, Hoffman, Moda, Clothworks, Timeless Treasures and Fabriquilt Fabrics. We have worked very hard to give you a variety of styles and types of fabrics and hope to “tickle” your creativity when you see the wall of color created by the many bolts of fabric. Because batiks are a soft spot in both Beth’s and Kim’s hearts, we also carry a colorful array of batiks. Check out the Prairie Star paper piecing pattern and kit. We’ve been able to get all of the Hoffman fabrics necessary to make this beautiful quilt designed by Judy Niemeyer.

In addition to fabrics, we carry many of the tools that you’ve become accustomed to using and have tried to add new and exciting gadgets that we saw at Spring Market. Check out the new light that attaches to your rotary cutter...or the razor sharp seam ripper that takes the stress out of picking out all those little stitches that have shown up in the wrong places.

Classes have been well attended and are filling quickly for the upcoming months. Be sure to enroll in classes early, so as to reserve a spot! We are delighted with the number of returning students who have taken more than one class with us and are becoming regulars around the shop. It's so much fun seeing new and old friends visiting us for inspiration and sharing our love for the art of quilting.

The Quilting Nook is proud to announce that Edna Drakeford is going to be doing our machine quilting for us. Edna has had many years of experience in sewing and quilting and is quite a perfectionist when it comes to her own work. You can see some of her work in our sample quilts hanging around the shop. We have been quite pleased with the added attention she gives to centering backs and the beauty of her designs.
