Thanks so much for this article and the comment on it! I love quilting! I found a bunch of my great-great grandma's quilt squares so I turned them into bigger quilts and gave them to members of my family. Believe it or not, they make great home decor items in my home. It is something that means a lot that I get to look at all day!

Unexpected in a Western Chicago Suburb was the perfect way to open this article about this shop. Quilt Merchant is a treasure trove not only of quilting fabrics and patterns, but inspiration as well. I am so lucky that it is only five minutes from home. I have been known to pop over there during a particularly stressful day at work just to enjoy the atmosphere and rejuvenate my spirit. Those of us who have been regulars since the shop opened, just two short years ago, were absolutely thrilled that they were given this recognition as it was much deserved. As great as the quilts are and as nicely marketed as the shop is, these are second to the great people who own and manage the shop. Congratulations Docia, Jim and Beth! Wishing you much continued success!!!!
