let's not forget how important are a really sharp needle is! Skips and knots are generally caused by dulled needles in your sewing machine! I change mine out after about 15 hours of sewing.

Thimbles are very important. I have tried many, many thimbles but have not found a one that I can keep on my finger. Then I found ThimblePads. They work great for me. However, finding them for sale is very difficult. There is only one store in town that sells them, and they are currently backordered. Any ideas on where I can web-order them?
