It is probably not what you want to do, but Target has a whole wonderful set of Winnie the Pooh... you also might check JoAnn's as they have panels, which might help. Check their website to check for availablity. The panel wil make a fast and nice quilt that you can finish by adding HSQ or what ever design around the panel in related fabrics. Congratulations on your up coming grand child... sounds like the baby is very lucky to have you as a grandma!! Kari 5  out of 6 found this valuable. Do you?

Fons and Porter have a winnie the pooh baby quilt in their last magazine. You can look at it at fonsandporter.com. 5  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

The quilt is adorable.. search at fonsandporter.com with Pooh for Pooh and friends. The kit is $61.00 and as of today, it is on backorder. You are not the only one who loves pooh (and tigger too) ! 7  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

years ago I did an antique winnie the pooh quilt for my daughters second grade teacher, who was expecting her first child. I took pictures from a copy of the original illustrations of Pooh and his friends and redrew them to fit small muslin squares and colored them with fabric crayons. I then framed the squares with mitered corners, sashing was placed between the blocks and quilted with a co ordinating backing in the colors the teacher was hoping to do her nursery in, mostly mint greens, yellows, etc. I quilted it by hand mostly in outline quilting of the pictures with motifs in the sashing. Per the instructions on the crayons it was washable and hopefully it held up. The teacher moved several states away at the end of the year. I have seen 50 year old crayola crayon muslin squares done in nursery rhymes that are still beautiful and were done in quilts long before fabric crayons and or paint were thought of. Be original and if all else fails Hobby Lobby and Walmart has Winnie the Pooh fabric. Good luck ! 5  out of 6 found this valuable. Do you?

Another way that I use when I want to make a quilt with a popular character, is to go and buy some coloring books. If you find and image in one but it is not the right size, all you have to do is resize it with your printer and computer. They have giant coloring books that I have found at Walmart that are wonderful! Congratulations on your new grandchild! What a blessing!
Best Wishes to You and Your Family....

I made my great niece a Winnie the Pooh quilt about 11 years ago. I bought a set of preprinted sheets, and cut it all apart and appliqued it to blocks. I set them on point and used sashing in between. They turned out really cute. This was the newer version, not the classic, which is what her Mother requested. Hope that helps. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Hey,
I made my son a pooh quilt, you probably already made it as he was born in April (so was my son!) but I got the classic pooh quilting patterns (came with 4 different patterns) from Jo-Ann fabrics and I used them to make my pattern for the quilt. For the backside of the quilt I used a silk pooh fabric but used the material inside out as the other side was so incredibly soft and then I am still working on handsewing blue ribbon around the perimeter, I will do that in the hospital as he is having surgery on this Tuesday. I have pics if you would like to see. Hope this might have helped.

If you can't find a quilt design or not one that you like, you can use coloring books to trace pictures and applique ( not sure about copyright laws on this, but might be alright since you are not selling it for profit) or use winnie the pooh prints and a pieced block design. Also as someone else suggested there are panels out there with a large design and you can add coordinating borders which would make it quick and easy. Do you find this valuable?
