Mar 2 2008, 6:23 PM EST Yardage is always going to depend on how closely you quilt, just outline or lots of crosshatch and stipple. 800-2000 yards I would estimate. I usually use about 3-500 yd spools per quilt, I like theme stipple in my backgrounds. I do a lot of dimensional applique so any left over quilting thread is used making gathered blossoms and ruching. It is stronger than regular thread. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Mar 3 2008, 8:06 AM EST Thank you for the reply. A friend had asked an Amish Lady to quilt a quilt for her, and the quote was so much per yard of thread.
